Inventory
Parts and supplies management with stock movements and reorder alerts.
Inventory
Overview
The Inventory module tracks parts, consumables, and supplies in your Garage. It maintains stock levels through movements (receipts, usage, adjustments) and integrates with purchase orders for restocking.
Key Concepts
- Inventory Item — A part or supply with SKU, description, unit cost, selling price, and current stock quantity.
- Stock Movement — Every change to stock is recorded as a movement:
receipt(goods in),usage(consumed on a booking),adjustment(manual correction), orreturn. - Reorder Point — Set a minimum stock level. Items below this threshold appear in low-stock alerts.
Primary Flows
- Add an Item — Define the part with its SKU, costs, and reorder point.
- Receive Stock — When a purchase order is fulfilled, goods receiving creates receipt movements that increase stock.
- Use on a Booking — When parts are consumed during a repair, usage movements decrease stock and can flow into the invoice.
- Adjust Stock — Manual adjustments for physical count corrections or write-offs.
Vendors and Purchase Orders
- Vendors — Supplier records with contact details and payment terms.
- Purchase Orders — Create POs against vendors, then process goods receiving when items arrive. Stock is updated automatically.
Permissions and Plan Gating
Inventory is available on Starter plans and above. Free plans have limited item capacity.
