Vehicles

Overview

The Vehicles module tracks every vehicle that comes through your Garage. Vehicles are linked to customers, and each vehicle accumulates its own service history through bookings.

Key Concepts

• Vehicle Record — Make, model, year, registration/plate number, VIN, and color.
• Customer Link — Every vehicle belongs to a customer. A customer can have multiple vehicles.
• Service History — All bookings for a vehicle are visible from the vehicle detail page.

Primary Flows

1. Add a Vehicle — From the vehicles list or inline during booking creation. Link it to an existing customer.
2. Look Up by Plate — Search vehicles by registration number to quickly find returning cars.
3. View Service History — Open a vehicle record to see all past and current bookings.

Permissions and Plan Gating

Vehicles are available on all plans with no record limits.

FAQ

Q: Can a vehicle belong to multiple customers? A: No. A vehicle is linked to one customer. If ownership changes, update the customer link.

Q: What vehicle fields are required? A: Only the registration/plate number is required. All other fields are optional but recommended.
